It’s safe to say 2020 has been a real big flop show but how does it look for SS21?
It’s all about edgy, powerful vibes with a 90’s vibe adding in some soft romantic looks. Here’s and insight into what you can expect from next year’s hair trends…..
The blunt bob: Edgy and powerful.
Great for: finer hair wanting a bit more structure and a thicker appearance and that altogether polished look.
Add: Team together with a deep/war, colour like the pictures below to put the whole thing together.
Shag hair cut/layers: Soft and romantic, creating volume throughout the hair.
Best for: Hair that lacks volume/movement but be careful with finer textures as layering too much can take too much weight out when really you want to create a fuller look.
Add: soft/warm highlights, no platinums or balayages. You want to create a soft, sun kissed look that show off those layers.
Tousled waves: creates soft/pretty waves that can also add volume and movement.
Best for: longer hair lengths but can be created on shorted lengths.
Add: use serums and salt sprays to get that beach vibe and avoid using mousse or hairspray.
Sleek ponytails: polished and sleek.
Best for: those ‘next day’ hairstyles or when your hair is in need of a wash but haven’t got time.
Add: hairspray to your hairbrush to help with flyaways. This will also help you achieve a sleeker look. Glam your ponytail up with hair accessories such as pearl clips or patterned scrunchies. For a different take on a ponytail you could add in braids.
You can also expect to see more deep/darker colours with more natural looking balayages that give off a more sun kissed look.
