Before your next appointment. (Trust me you will thank me later and so will your stylist).
1. Keep your curls.
If you have curly hair, come in with curly hair! We need to see how your hair sits naturally so we can be sure you are able to maintain it yourself at home.
2. Leave the hoodie.
PLEEEEEEASE don't wear a hoodie or polo neck. This restricts how we cut the hair and can also cause problem at the back wash when shampooing. If you do need to wear these items please be prepared to take it off!
3. Wash that hair.
If you have a colour appointment and your hair is oily/greasy please wash your hair the day before. Although these natural oils can be great for you they can actually cause a barrier when applying colour giving disappointing results.
4. Less is more.
Do not use too many products as this can also cause a barrier when applying colour or chemicals to the hair.
5. Ask befor you buy.
Do not assume your bill will be the same as last time. Depending on what treatments or services you have will determine your final bill. A cut isn't just a cut. One day you may decide to have a complete restyle which may require more time and work than the last time you came in. Always ask when making a booking how much your service is going to cost so you are prepared.
6. Do your homework.
Bring pictures to help explain what you want. I usually ask any new guests to bring in 3 pictures of what they like and 3 pictures of what they don't like. This will give your stylist a better understanding of what you want to achieve with your hair.
7. Don't be shy.
Prepare to tell us everything about your hair. We need to know the history of your hair even if it dates back to 1906! This will help your stylist to best understand your hair and how to achieve the results you're looking for.
8. We're not the same.
Your stylist can't always achieve what you want. Everyone's hair is different and what you may see on social media could all well be filters. There are looks we can achieve to giving you a similar result but it's something to bear in mind. Everyone goes on a hair journey so let me take you through yours.
9. Look after yourself.
Maintaining your hair at home is key to having happy, beautiful and healthy hair. There's a reason why stylists do not recommend supermarket brands and thats because they do not do what they need to. Get yourself some luxury hair products to help maintain your hair in-between salon visits and book your next appointment so that you can ensure your hair is looking a million dollars.
10. Make us do the happy dance.
Lastly if you want to help your stylist as well as yourself then purchase some in salon products. It not only helps us as a small business but also helps you in reaching your goal to better hair or at least keeping it nice. We also do a happy dance every time you buy from us 😊
